In January 2016, Audio-Technica showcased the LP60BT Wireless Turntable at CES Las Vegas, and it was very quickly selected as a finalist for the Innovation Award.
The fully automatic turntable transmits vinyl via Bluetooth to compatible wireless speaker systems, headphones, A/V receivers or other wireless playback devices.
Free of signal cables, the LP60BT can become a centrepiece in the home on the coffee table, kitchen bench or wherever music is most conveniently played. It can connect with up to eight wireless devices at one time or, with the RCA cables provided, can be hard wired. A built-in switchable phono preamp allows the turntable to be used in a variety of music and home entertainment systems.
“Music lovers will always try to find new ways to access their music and we aim to cater to all lifestyles and tastes,” says brand manager Wesley von Grabill. “Audio-Technica has a 50-year history in cartridge manufacture so there is a lot of confidence with Audio-Technica turntables fitted with Audio-Technica headshells and cartridges”.
The LP60BT plays both LP’s and singles, with 33-1/3 and 45RPM speeds. A heavy-duty precision cast aluminium platter and high-quality Dual Moving Magnet™ cartridge with replaceable diamond stylus provides exceptional sound and durability. The pickup arm has soft damping control and an arm lift, featuring completely automatic operation – lifting the arm and returning it to rest once a side has finished. A singles cut-out adapter and a removable dust cover are included in the complete package.
The LP60BT will be available in Black or White, arriving in stores and online in Late July 2016 priced at $299RRP.
